Free qigong session

Thanks for joining the Kupala community!

As a thank you gift, please enjoy this free qigong (tai chi) session.

If you like it and would like to sign up for my next 8-week term of online qigong, please send me a message via my Contact page.

Important tips for beginners

It's important to understand that qigong movements should be done slowly, without force, in a relaxed manner, and above all at your own pace. If at any time you find your shoulders or other joints tensing up, please rest your arms until you feel ready to continue. The movements are designed to improve the circulation of blood, lymph and energy (qi) around the body. If you tense up, this blocks things up instead. Don't feel like you have to keep up with me to start - just be aware of your own body, and relax and rest anytime you need to.

It's good to have a chair nearby in case you need to sit. If you do sit, you can still do most of the movements anyway.

It's also good to close your eyes once you have got the hang of each movement, as it helps you relax and allows you to be more aware of your body, but make sure you can still keep your balance with your eyes closed. If not, try just lowering your gaze slightly.

Take your time and enjoy!

Kath
